What is Direct Property investing?
Direct Property investing is an investment in commercial property – that includes office, industrial and retail property - via a direct or unlisted property fund. Investing in direct property can complement other asset classes in an investment portfolio.
Direct property has the following advantages:
It can provide an attractive income return relative to cash and fixed interest. This can contribute to the income generated by the total portfolio that is used to make pension payments. It is important to note that different investments carry different levels of risk. For example, while an investment in direct property may offer a significant yield premium over other asset classes, it may carry additional risks. Please refer to the relevant PDS for a summary of the key investment risks. Past performance is not an indicator of future performance.
The tax deferred component of the distribution you receive from direct property can provide tax benefits if the direct property investment is held prior to and sold in the pension stage.
It can provide the potential for capital growth over the long term.
